Weekend Extras! Moviegoer New Year’s resolutions, Shaun of the Dead Lego, Tarantino’s best/worst of 2011, Bilbo looks epic, Lucas talks Red Tails and a Psycho prequel? Plus much more!

Welcome to The Weekend Extras! A dose of all the smaller movie related news, clips and just plain cool stuff that you might have missed! So, just like the normal Extras, just much bigger!

We start with some Hobbit news with this pretty epic pic of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, dirt stained, Sting in hand. (The sword not the singer. Let’s keep it PG-13, thank you.) Judging by Bilbo’s web-covered state, I’m guessing that this is after he has battled the spiders of Mirkwood. Click the pic for a humungous high res version.

“So much of [The Avengers] story takes place from Steve Rogers’ perspective, since he’s the guy who just woke up and sees this weird-ass world. Everyone else has been living in it. He’s the guy that feels that sense of loss.”
