Help make the Shaun of the Dead LEGO a reality!

In the latest edition of Weekend Extras!, I posted about some really cool Shaun of the Dead LEGO that has recently surfaced online. Well, earlier today we received some pretty cool mail in response to that post:

Hello! This is a message for Kervyn in reaction to his post Weekend Extras!
My name is Greg/Yatkuu and I’m the guy who built the Winchester in Lego… I’m 34 and I live in Belgium.
First of all I wanted to thank you for blogging my pictures and for the kind words.
Both Simon Pegg & Edgar Wright tweeted my pics, Edgar even posted it on his blog…

Needless to say that my Flickr exploded… and as a fan of these guys I feel like I’ve been living a dream during these past few days!

Anyway, I’m contacting you because I have piece of info that could be of interest to you and your readers…
If you liked “the Win” in Lego it could one day become a real official Lego set – I’m not kidding.

It’s actually fairly simple:

A few months ago Lego launched a website named CUUSOO, it’s a platform where fans can post their creations. The community can then vote for the ideas they like best, if a project gets enough supporters Lego will consider making it a real set – how’s that for a slice of fried gold?
I already have the support of Edgar and Simon but I need to let the community know about this… here is the link to the Winchester project on CUUSOO:
http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/7451
People need to register before they can cast their vote, it’s free and it only takes 2 minutes.
There is a “tweet” option from the CUUSOO webpage – this is probably the best way to spread the word.

Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Cheers,
Greg

Well Greg, consider my vote yours. One of my favourite movies + my favourite childhood toy = a huge WIN in my book. So what are the rest of you waiting for? Go register and cast your vote! The children of the world need more toys based on droll, ultra violent British comedies about flesh-eating Zombies and cricket bats!
