Wrath of the Titans reveals some truly epic marketing posters

Posted in News by - February 08, 2012

Clash of the titans, while not a terrible film, was a rather lacklustre experience. Sure, it had great action and some truly fantastic design takes on the myths and monsters of the ancient world of the Greeks, but it never really capitilised on its strengths.

Wrath of the titans however, is shaping up to be the film that the original should have been. Sam Worthington is back, with more hair mind you, and is ready to flex his inner demigod muscles in the big war of Olympus.

Here’s a look at some of the marketing posters that have just been released.

It’s as if the marketing team was snorting cocaine and staring at every single metal album cover ever made. And I approve.

Because he's the writer that The Movies deserves, but not the one it actually needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can't take it. Because he's not a hero. He's a loud-mouthed journalist, a watchful procrastinator. A dork knight.

I didn’t see Clash of the Titans, I heard it was mediocre so I didn’t bother. These posters kind of make me want to see it, just for the backstory for when Wrath of the Titans come out.

Also: Sam Worthington! With hair! Hope his career isn’t going the Nicolas Cage route…

Clash, was ok. Had some cool moments, so if you have 90 minutes to spare, then you should certainly give it a whirl.

I wanted my ticket money back.

Poor Nick. Has he fallen so far that he now appears in the same sentences as Sam Worthington?

It’s okay, his ridiculous hair will act as a parachute.

I’ll probably watch it, because I am a sucker for the theme. Immortals was such a fantastic surprise, despite its drawbacks. But Clash had no soul and little urgency. I never found I cared whether that city got god-smacked or not. Also, I cannot take a stooped Hades seriously, no matter how well Ralph Fiennes acts it. Hope hopefully they fix that. And hopefully Liam Neeson won’t be so disinterested. But I suspect the death of his wife had something to do with that.
