Marc Forster has been a busy director so far. After finishing up on James Bond epic Quantum of Solace and then heading straight into work on the upcoming Brad Pitt Zombie flick World War Z, the director will be looking at adapting the AJ Lieberman and Riley Rossmo comic book Cowboy Ninja Viking for the big screen next.
It’s one of the weirder comics out there, as Cowboy Ninja Viking deals with a schizophrenic government agent that is tasked with bringing in escaped inmates from the institution where he was created, in return for his freedom.
But the CNV also has his own goals in mind, as he’s after the billionaire benefactor who was responsible for his transformation into a warrior that uses the skill-sets of the three warrior cultures that were imprinted into him.
Disney had originally attached Zombieland Writers Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese to the project, but it was eventually dumped by the house of mouse, with Universal pictures picking up the rights.
Forster is planning on starting shooting later this year, once production World War Z wraps up.
