Angelina Jolie chats about her Maleficent horns

Angelina Jolie, that woman who adorns many a wall of a young male suffering through puberty, while also possessing the worlds first single meme leg, is busy filming her role for the live action Sleeping Beauty remake, Maleficent.

She recently took the time to talk about her role in the film, what she plans to do with the character, and of course, whether she will wear those trademark sexy horns or not.

Jolie plans on making the wicked witch a slightly more sympathetic character, one that is a character who is capable of many pursuits, but happens to be bogged down with putting princesses into comas instead.

I hope in the end you see a woman who is capable of being many things, and just because she protects herself and is aggressive, it doesn’t mean she can’t have other warmer qualities. You have to figure out the puzzle of what she is.

According to Jolie her children were also extremely happy when they saw her with the iconic horns fitted on her head. Aw schucks, it’s adopted children approved!

Alice in Wonderland scribe Linda Woolverton has turned in the script for the film, which has Robert Stromberg directing, with shooting scheduled to commence in June this year, in a film that Jolie says is not a 90 minute mosh pit of princess bashing, but will rather be an in depth examination of Malificent.

“Let’s look at something from the other side”, Jolie said.

But then also, what our challenge will be – and Linda Woolverton has already cracked it – is not to simplify it, not to just reverse the story but tell a bigger story that doesn’t point the finger at Princess Aurora either.

If Vampires were the trend in Hollywood in recent years, then it’s safe to say that Fairy Tails are making a strong comeback, with two Snow White films in the pipeline already.

Maybe we can see Milla Jovovich as a sexy Ursula in the inevitable Little Mermaid remake next?
