Between his commitments to taunting WWE wrestlers, television appearances and various movie projects, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is indeed a busy man.
But it seems that for his next project, the infamous strongman may be flexing some more muscle as a peace-and-secret-keeper, fighting mythological beasts in Lore.
The Ashley Wood and T.P Louise IDW comic has been in devvelopment since 2010 already, and has been described as “Men In Black with monsters”, or as the official comic book synopsis labelled itself a while ago:
In times past, the world was full of mythical creatures long since held at bay by the secret society of Shepherds. But when the Shepherds’ line of succession is broken, a reluctant hero finds her life threatened from every quarter.
And the creatures are coming back: will the Earth be ready for their return?
Epic mythological films are all the rage right now in Tinsel Town, so it should be no surprise that property is being moved into the fast lane right now.
Despite the disappointing success of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, Johnson is still very much in demand in Hollywood, and with this film being handled by monster expert scribes Cory Goodman and Jeremy Lott, expect more casting and production news soon.
