It’s days like this that I kind of envy Kervyn. While he’s busy getting news ready on Batman, the Avengers and Prometheus, I’m stuck with Miley Cyrus and a predictable coming of age movie trailer.
It’s your standard fluff, where parents are like, totally clueless, and there’s gosh! This really cute boy, and OMG, I have to tell you about my mean teacher and…will someone please put me out of my misery already?
For those of you who prefer to read text instead of seeing Miley Cyrus throw a hissy fit, here’s a synopsis from IMDB:
In a world connected by YouTube iTunes, and Facebook, Lola and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship while dodging their sometimes overbearing and confused parents.
When Lola’s mom, Anne, “accidentally” reads her teenage daughter’s racy journal, she realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown. Through hilarious and heartfelt moments between mother and daughter, LOL is a fresh coming-of-age story for modern times.

Am I meant to bleed this much from my nose after watching that trailer? That’s normal, right?

You know, there’s actually a really good story to b told there about the vast space that divides the older and younger generation.

Seriously. With that premise, and with the vast chasm of difference between generations, there’s ample room for exploring that generational schism. Unfortunately, they cast Miley Cyrus.
I imagine the scriptwriter (the poor bastard) must be crying right now.
