It was just yesterday that I made the prediction that with Warner Bros’ sudden gear-shift with the promo campaign for The Dark Knight Rises, that we would probably end up seeing the entire film before the end of the weekend. And while the pace hasn’t gone from zero-to-Avengers quite yet, we have certainly seen more material since Monday than most of the last 2 months combined.

And now you can add 11 new on- and off-camera stills, to the 7 posters and 2 TV spots already released in the last 5 days.

Synopsis:

Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar winner Christian Bale (“The Fighter”) again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar winner Marion Cotillard (“La Vie en Rose”), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar winner Michael Caine (“The Cider House Rules”) plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman (“Million Dollar Baby”) reprises the role of Lucius Fox.

No problem with this. Just pitchas, which gives a very small taste of what to look forward to.

Unlike Fox, who have, apparently, decided that a far more entertaining proposition for Prometheus fans, is not to have them watch the film in the cinema as is the norm, but rather to release the entire bloody film in a “here and there” fashion so that they might piece it together as they see fit.

Which is a revolutionary approach but I’d rather they kept to the traditional manner of releasing movies as what they’re doing now makes me want to smash a Fox executive repeatedly in the face with a shovel.

I haven’t watched any of the Prometheus clips since the third trailer but there are limits to my will-power

The only thing I’ve watched of Prometheus apart from the trailer/s are the viral vids, which are really nice little touches in world immersion. Everything else I’m avoiding.
