The Justice League Movie is once again in development

Blame The Avengers for this one, as the massive success of that particular comic book property, has obviously caused every executive at Warner Bros. to suddenly develop a case of having dollar signs for eyes.

Justice League is once again in the spotlight, as the film distributor has started work once more on dragging the film out of development hell, and into the real world.

This isn’t the first time that Warner Bros. has attempted to bring their DC Comics characters to the big screen though. Back in 2007, George “Mad Max” Miller was working on the film, which would have starred Arnie “Lone Ranger” Hammer as Batman, and several other at the time unknown actors.

It was to be part of a new continuity of films as well, but sneak peeks at the script revealed a film that was rather underwhelming and cheap, a film that was thankfully put on permanent hiatus when the Writers Strike and new Australian Tax Breaks hit that year.

Warner Bros currently has Will “Gangster Squad” working on a script, a job that he’s actually been doing since last year, Variety reports. The interesting facet of this is, is that with Christopher Nolan wrapping up his Batman trilogy this year, Warner might want to use a Justice League film as a springboard for a Dark Knight reboot, going in the opposite direction really, of what Marvel did, with their six year build-up.

And whether Ryan Reynolds would want to reprise his role as Green Lantern for such a film is unknown (Note to self, slap a ring on Idris Elbas’ hand), as well as whether or not the current Zack Snyder directed Man of Steel film would also feature the Henry Cavill portrayed Superman, leaving many dangling questions as to how Warner Bros will get around casting.

Still, whatever they make, it can’t be any worse than the 1997 television film abomination. A film so bad, that it’s been wiped from human history. Nah, just kidding, here’s the whole train wreck.

You can hate me later.
