Crispin Glover is checking into the MOTEL

Upcoming indie action film, Motel, is shaping up to be a project that has drawn in quite a few high profile actors. Robert De Niro, John Cusack and Martin Klebba are on board for this tale of hitmen and other motley assortments of crooks, and now, they’re being joined by the weird one himself, Crispin Glover.

THR has confirmed that Glover will be lending his tall man presence to the flick, which is beginning to sound like a horizontal version of The Raid so far.

Cusack stars as a mob hitman hired by big boss De Niro, who has a job to do naturally. Unnaturally though, he’ll have to battle his way through a hive of scummy lowlifes who are in his way.

There’s no word yet on who Glover will be playing in the film, but considering his past resume of getting happy in the wrong place at the sight of hair in the Charlie’s Angels films, it wouldn’t be too hard to imagine him going all actioney once again, as a rival hitman.

Directed by David Grovic from a tweaked James Russo script, it looks like this is going to be an even bloodier motel than the one that Norman Bates owns.

Because he's the writer that The Movies deserves, but not the one it actually needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can't take it. Because he's not a hero. He's a loud-mouthed journalist, a watchful procrastinator. A dork knight.
