I am not a winter person. Those days when I can’t feel my own fingers, I hate them. If I could, I’d most likely kneecap ol’ Jack Frost and kick his teeth in at the same time.
But then I’d make all the kiddies sad, because it looks like the upcoming Rise of the Guardians finally has its main character, in the form of this ancient, yet young at heart winter spirit.
I’m actually looking forward to this. It’s something that is remarkeably original, especially for a Dreamworks CGI film, and it doesn’t look like its going to be the umteenth spin on that animated “Be true to yourself” schpiel that the rest of the genre has been spewing out for over a decade now.
Well, at least not that much. Still, Santa with tattoos, a narcoleptic Sandman with the power of a sleepy imagination and an Easter Bunny with the attitude of Wolverine and his voice!
