Welcome to The Extras! A daily dose of all the smaller movie related news, clips and just plain cool stuff that you might have missed!

We kick off today with a new trailer for The Impostor, a documentary I’ve been keeping my eye on ever since hearing about it at the SXSW Film Festival. By all accounts, it’s a gripping film that may play out like some mystery thriller, but scarily is completely true.

This may be a no-brainer, but it looks like Sebastian Stan will be reprising his role as Bucky Barnes for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. It would be kind of weird not to have him there, seeing as the movie is named after him and all.

Hold on to your tinfoil hats, people! According to Rush Limbaugh, Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises is a thinly veiled attack on Republican US presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

As if horrible comments about The Dark Knight Rises wasn’t bad enough, prominent blogger Eric Snider has gone and got himself banned from Rotten Tomatoes after posting a fake negative review of the movie, despite not actually having seen it.

You’ll be completely forgiven for forgetting that there are actually other people besides Emma Stone on this new banner poster for Gangster Squad. She is smokin’.

Oldboy director Chan-wook Park’s English language film debut, Stoker, has been given an official release date of March 1, 2013. And it looks like it’s going to have to do some crazy box office stoking of it’s own, as it has the misfortune of opening against Neil Blomkamp’s Elysium.

Paramount still might not know how to tie up the last act of World War Z, but that won’t be enough to let them have a chance to make more money pass them by. Joystiq is reporting that the studio has registered a trademark for “entertainment services, namely, providing online electronic games”. Judging by what a fustercluck the movie has turned into, I’m expecting the game to be Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing but with zombies.

Jessica Biel won’t be getting villainous with The Wolverine after all. Despite what was reported last Friday in some publications, Collider has learned that talks broke down between the actress and 20th Century Fox and the studio are now looking at other actresses to play the role of Viper.

Speaking of Jessica Biel, according to this new clip from Len Wiseman’s Total Recall, she doesn’t take too kindly to snarky remarks about the past residences of some of Colin Farrell’s anatomy.

The LA Times has a brilliant article up all about how Millennials – people born in the last two decades – don’t care about old movies. It’s a sad fact, but it’s the truth.

Jeremy Renner is negotiations to replace Christian Bale in David O. Russel’s American Bullshit, the true story about financial con artists who were forced to work with the FBI to catch the former criminal compatrios. The title will more than likely change before release, but I’m kind of hoping it doesn’t. You know, because dirty words.

Can Nathan Fillion get any classier? The Firefly and Castle star had a very busy weekend at Comic-Con, rushing from panel to interview to photo-op. As such, he just didn’t have the time to stay and chat to fans he might run into en-route. Not one to blow off the people who gave him his fame, Fillion came up with a very novel business card to make it up to them.

Daniel Radcliffe and Zoe Kazan have been confirmed to be the leads in new romantic comedy, The F Word. While the premise of two young people who meet and hit it off at a party immediately, but need to stay friends as they’re already involved with other people, is definitely not the most original, it’s being directed by Michael Dowse who helmed Goon, possibly the funniest movie that almost nobody saw thus far this year.

Redheaded Doctor Who cutie Karen Gillen has been cast as the lead in Oculus, a new horror film that has a mirror as the main bad guy. No, you didn’t read that wrong.

The Hunger Games director Gary Ross has been confirmed to be helming the big screen adaptation of Peter Pan prequel novel turned Tony Award winning play, Peter and the Starcatchers. Here’s the synopsis of the film:

The story is an adventure on the high seas and on the faraway Mollusk island. An orphan boy named Peter and his pretty, mysterious new friend, Molly, overcome bands of pirates and thieves in their quest to keep a magical secret safe and save the world from evil. Characters include the scary but somehow familiar Black “Stache” Moustache and ferocious crocodile Mister Grin to the sweet but sophisticated Molly and fearless Peter.

People have been getting far too serious about Batman lately, so we’re ending off today with a bit of Bat-absurdity: This rather brilliant Breaking Bad/Dark Knight Rises mashup called Breaking Batman.
