Ah, sibling love. Nothing quite like that amazingly close bond. Well, except when a whole big ass bag of stolen money is on the line. Throw in a “third wheel” love interest whose family is all that stands between a criminal brother and sister and freedom, and things suddenly start to get real interesting. Which is just what Eric Bana, Olivia Wilde and Charlie Hunman find out in this new snowbound crime thriller, Deadfall.

Synopsis:

Siblings Addison (Eric Bana) and Liza (Olivia Wilde) are on the run from a casino heist gone wrong. When a car accident leaves their wheel man and a state trooper dead, they split up and make a run for the Canadian border in the worst of circumstances–a near whiteout blizzard. While Addison heads cross-country, creating mayhem in his wake, Liza is picked up by ex-boxer Jay (Charlie Hunnam), en-route for a Thanksgiving homecoming with his parents, June (Sissy Spacek) and retired sheriff Chet (Kris Kristofferson). It’s there the siblings are reunited in a terse and thrilling showdown that pushes the bonds of family to the limit.

I’ve always been a fan of these types of small-scale crime thrillers and with the ever reliable Bana villaining it up in the lead, this certainly has my interest piqued. I ain’t going to lie, semi-naked Olivia Wilde helped a lot too.

Besides for the blue-eyed stunner, the other person to keep an eye on in this one is Charlie Hunman. The Sons of Anarchy star may have had roles in a couple of other feature films before, most notably opposite Frodo Baggins in Green Street Hooligans, but with this and the currently in production Pacific Rim, he’s poised to take the step up to the Hollywood big leagues.
