Good news for those people who enjoy augmenting their movie experience with 3D glasses, as it looks like we’ll be getting more re-releases of Star Wars films in the future.
With the first prequel film generating enough cash to justify seeing a 3D Jar Jar Binks, it looks like the remaining two episodes will be hitting the big screen once again, taking advantage of that extra dimension. But is the original trilogy also going to be on the receiving end of that 3D treatment?
Announced at the Star Wars fanboy mecca that is Star Wars Celebration, the dates for the upcoming re-releases in the US of A has been confirmed as well, with Attack of the Clones arriving September 20 next year, with Revenge of the Sith following on October 11.
With the Phantom Menace earning over $44 million in 3D receipts, there’s obviously still some cash to ring out of the franchise, and with the new logo above capitalising on the re-release trend, don’t be too surprised if you see a classic Stormtrooper bump his head on a low door, some time in 2014.
