Daniel Radcliffe's HORNS has possessed a few new cast members

Daniel Radcliffe has been trying very hard to establish himself after the Harry Potter series ended, and one of the most interesting projects that he is currently attached to is definitely set to break the mould and have the tongue wagging. The project is Horns, an adaptation of the best-selling Joe Hill novel of the same name, with Alexander “Piranha 3D” Aja in the director’s chair. If that isn’t a match made in heaven, I don’t know what is! See what I did there?

Well, three new cast members have been announced, and all three are definitely drawing even more attention to this anticipated project…

Joe Anderson, Kelli Garner and Juno Temple are all in negotiations for roles and all three are interesting choices. While only Juno Temple’s name might ring a bell, both other actors have been busy of late. Anderson has been impressing us on-screen as a “that guy” in films like The Grey and The Crazies so I am pretty sure he is glad to be attached to a project without “The” in the title. Kelli Garner, on the other hand, has been busy on the small screen in the ABC’s Pan Am. You will recognize Juno “I’m incredibly quirky” Temple from The Dark Knight Rises and Year One.

I think this film is shaping up fantastically. Alexander Aja has great visual flair and knows how to shock an audience without alienating at the same time and with a talented cast and great source material I am pretty sure we are in for a treat when Horns is released next year.

For those of you not familiar with the plot, Radcliffe will be playing a young man who wakes up with horns growing out of his head, and he discovers that people are unable to lie to his face. When his girlfriend is found raped and murdered, he uses his newly found devilish power to track down her killer.

Tell me that doesn’t sound exciting! While the ex boy-wizard doesn’t seem like the obvious choice the role, I have a suspicion that we are going to see new depths to Mr. Radcliffe besides waving his wand intensely on screen (or on Broadway…heyo!).

Yup, this sounds like it has a lot of potential. It also reminded me – I haven’t watched Waman In Black yet.

A lot of people seemed to enjoy it, but I was slightly underwhelmed. It wasn’t particularly scary but it was definitely a good ghost story, more in the lines of (but not as good as) The Orphanage.
