Daniel Craig recently hosted American comedy show SNL, and unfortunately due to NBC’s silly draconian country restrictions you can’t watch some of the funnier moments of the show, you can check out Craig’s promo vid which contains plenty of laughter as well.

Man, BDSM steampunk Matrix-wannabe witch hunters just can’t get a break. After already being shelved for a year, Hansel & Gretel : Witch Hunters is going to be delayed again. Luckily this time it will only be by a coouple weeks from January 11 to January 25, 2013. As a consolation prize, they will be getting a simultaneous IMAX release.

New Q Ben Whishaw just seems to be popping up everywhere lately. He’ll soon be telling Bond to not touch stuff in Skyfall, will do some souljumping in Cloud Atlas and even start a Robopocalypse. Well now comes word that he will have to make a small stopover for a cameo in Terry Gilliam’s The Zero Theorem. No word yet on what role he will play.

Ha ha ha ha ha! Uwe Boll made a new movie. Yes, that Uwe Boll. And yes, it looks as bad as you imagine it would. Seriously, who keeps giving him money to make movies? Helen Keller?

Jennifer Connelly will be joining will be joining the likes of Russell Crowe, Will Smith, Jessica Brown Findlay, Matt Bomer and Collin Farrel in Akiva Goldsmith’s adaptation of Mark Helprin’s 983 novel Winter’s Tale. Here’s the synopsis for the ensemble drama:

Set in New York at the beginning and the end of the twentieth century, Winter’s Tale unfolds with such great narrative force and beauty that a reader can feel that its world is more real than his own. Standing alone on the page before the book begins are the words, I have been to another world, and come back. Listen to me. In that world, both winter and the city of New York (old and new) have the strength and character of protagonists, and the protagonists themselves move as if in a vivid dream. Though immensely complicated, the story is centered upon Peter Lake, a turn-of-the-century Irish burglar, and Beverly Penn, a young heiress whom he encounters in robbing her house, and who eventually will die young and in his arms. His love for her, and a gift of grace, will allow him after the most extraordinary and painful explorations and discoveries to stop time and bring back the dead. To follow him, his predecessors, his inheritors, and his companions is to experience one of the great stories of American literature.

Composer Brian Tyler has announced via his own website that he will be providing the score for Iron Man 3. Tyler has quite the resume of scores for both film and video games including The Expendables 1 & 2, “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3”, “Transformers Prime”, Eagle Eye, Fast and Furious, Rambo, Law Abiding Citizen, Constantine, Battle: Los Angeles, Fast Five and Final Destination 5.

Thanks to CBM scoring some more set pics for The Wolverine, here’s our first glimpse at Silver Samurai…. ‘s back. Here’s our first glimpse at Silver Samurai’s back. There’s a lot more pics at the link, particular of a suited up Logan with popped claws.

According to an anonymous source over on MovieHole Disney have plans to bring back CondorMan in an animated feature. You guys have no idea who I’m talking about do you? Here, have a refresher. The source had this to say about the proposed revival:

“Wally. A Brit again. Robert Pattinson’s name has been floated, can you see him going for it? He seems to be into more intellectual things? Still a pompous cartoonist turned superhero type gets to assist in the deflection of a sexy young KGB agent. Emphasis would be more on action this time around though. They want to steer as far off from Johnny English territory as possible. But there’s talk of doing lots with the Condorman brand. Guessing you’ll hear more about it soon Clint.”

Robert Pattinson? Oh my, crazy unnamed source, you sure are reaching now. File this one firmly under Rumour.

The New York Comic Con is about to kick off, and for the event Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new action romp and Korean director Kim Jee Woon’s first English language film, The Last Stand, has received this new retro-tastic poster that’s all about the guns and explosions.

Ewan McGregor will be playing the lead in Son of a Gun, the directorial debut of award winning short filmmaker Julius Avery. Not too much plot details have been released, but it will be examining the relationship between McGregor’s veteran criminal and his young protege. Which sounds like a really horrible idea. The last time Ewan McGregor took a protege, the Old Republic was destroyed.

Jodie Foster will be directing a new financial themed drama titled Money Monster, which contrary to popular belief and your credit card statements, guys, is not your wife. The film will follow the story of Lee Cates, a TV financial expert who gets taken hostage live on air by an ordinary man who lost everything due to following investment advice from Lee.

Here’s a new Les Miserables poster highlighting Hugh Jackman’s Jean Valjean. Freedom may be his, but that bread sure ain’t.

Glenn Close, James Franco and rapidly rising star and indie filmmaker Brit Marling will all be joining cool named director Azazel Jacob’s adaptation of Tom Bailey’s novel The Grace That Keeps the World. Here’s the synopsis for the book from Amazon:

Gary and Susan Hazen—high school sweethearts married for many years, born and bred in the Adirondack community of Lost Lake—live a simple and honest life and have instilled values in their two grown sons by example. But despite their efforts, Gary senses that his sons are starting to pull away and can’t help but feel he is at fault. His younger son, Kevin, has ambitions that extend far beyond the snowy edges of their small town. And his elder, Gary David, so fears disappointing his father that he is keeping an important part of his life secret.

It’s unsure at this stage which roles they would play, but unless James Franco suddenly produces the greatest performance of his career, I think they still need to cast the role of the family patriarch.

And for no other reason than because we can, we end off today on a Zero Dark Thirty/Sesame Street mashup video.
