Watch the world burn in the full trailer for WORLD WAR Z

There’s going to be two stories up today, dealing with zombie movie trailers. One of them is laughably bad, but in a good way. One of them is decent popcorn filler entertainment that stars Brad Pitt.

Actually, wait this is one is the latter. It’s World War Z, where lead actor Brad Pitt somehow manages to have silky smooth hair with body during the middle of a human extinction event!

Following on from the teaser trailer (I hate whoever came up with that idea with all my hate), and a poster that was designed along the lines of less is less, comes the proper trailer for the end of the world thriller.

Adapted from the Max Brooks book, but loosely, it looks like the globe-trotting scenario will still be present here, as Pitt stars as Gerry Lane, on a mission to save the world and prevent his family from being turned into an undead appetiser.

It’s looking like more of an action film at present though, instead of an exploration into how the billions of people of the world were slaughtered or turned into flesheaters, thanks to the last minute rewrites from Damon Lindelof and Matthew Michael Carnahan, which delayed the film by a few months.

And that human snowball effect looks like something out of a zombified Looney Tunes cartoon. Still, it’s looking massive in scale, and like a decent bit of fun.

World War Z is out next year June, and stars Brad Pitt, Mireille Enos, Daniella Kertesz, James Badge Dale, Matthew Fox and David Morse, with Marc Forster directing.

I will actually not be watching this movie. I was thinking about it this morning. So far the trailer has shown me nothing that resembles the book. Looks like a good action movie, but it is NOT World War Z.
