Put away the Swiss army knives and stop cutting your hair to be business on the sides, and all party at the back, because James Wan ain’t done yet with Insidious!
Wan has locked in a new deal to helm a sequel to his spooky hit film, Insidious, and he’s bringing back a few familiar faces back for the second chapter in the haunted house.
Wan will be bringing back Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye and Ty Simpkins for the sequel, with Leigh Whannell writing the script and Jason Blum producing.
With the first film made on a barebones budget of $1.5 million, and grossing over $97 million in global ticket sales, as the tale of a family stuck in a haunted mansion with a possessed child and dangerous dark realms turned out to be a hit.
There’s no plot details yet for Insidious chapter 2, but there’s mor likely some more supernatural danger for the original family to face, when Wan starts shooting next year January in LA, with an August release date in mind.

I hope they don’t butcher the ending like they did in the first one…
