Out with the new school and in with the old in this trailer for PARENTAL GUIDANCE

Tis the season. A time for joy, family and feel good movies with wholesome values and attitudes. And what could be more PG than a new school versus old school method of family raising, starring Billy Crystal and Bette Midler?

No really, I need an answer here. While I consult the Schwarzenegger Christmas classic Jingle all the way, you can see what I’m talking about in this trailer for Parental Guidance.

Starring Billy Crystal and Bette Midler as grandparents called in to watch over their grandchildren for a weekend, the film pits their old school values against the more sensitive approach that parenting has taken as of late.

Plus Billy Crystal takes a baseball bat to the jingle balls, so there’s that.

Old school grandfather Artie, who is accustomed to calling the shots, meets his match when he and his eager-to-please wife Diane agree to babysit their three grandkids when their type-A helicopter parents go away for work.

But when 21st century problems collide with Artie and Diane?s old school methods of tough rules, lots of love and old-fashioned games, it?s learning to bend – and not holding your ground – that binds a family together.

Parental Guidance also stars Marisa Tomei and Tom Everett Scott, and is out in time for Christmas. Now if you’ll excuse me, I think I might have just contracted type 2 diabetes from that trailer and it’s sugary overload.
