HomeNewsNew MAN OF STEEL poster has Superman in chains Darryn Bonthuys December 4, 2012 News Hey, remember that Facebook campaign for The Dark Knight Rises DVD launch which offered fans a small slice of Krypton in exchange for a few likes? Well that’s over and done with, and seeing as how the page got more likes than that stripping Russian girl in the new Die Hard 5 trailers, a reward was indeed unlocked. Here it is. So it’s a poster, based on a film still, of Superman in cuffs that might have been forged from pure plot device, as he is escorted by soldiers. It’s not much of a reveal, but it does set up the question of just how the public might perceive the last son of Krypton. And if that’s the case here, then Man of Steel might be dipped firmly in some of producer Christopher Nolan’s ideas about superheroes, for this Zack Snyder directed film. It’s out next year June, with a full trailer expected to debut alongside The Hobbit in the coming days. Stay tuned. This looks really silly and goofy, like Superman’s catching a bus home – with Nolan’s Batman saga font slapped onto the bottom and retyped as “Man of Steel”. This makes me sad. Sadder than when they used The Death of Gandalf as the backing track to the teaser. EK I dunno, looks interesting to me :/ Kervyn Cloete I think it’s lazy.I get the symobolism: Man of Steel poster features a man in steel shackles. But at least use a better resolution pic! EK Maybe it symbolises the low quality he sees the humans as, or the situation?
