Papers please! Meet SNOWPIERCER's cast with these 10 passport pics

The Korean invasion of Hollywood is in full swing, with Park Chan-Wook’s opening shot, Stoker, already racking up the accolades. The second salvo, Kim Ji-Woon’s The Last Stand, may have misfired a bit (and by a bit I mean a lot!) at the box office but it was still a reasonably fun film.

The third prong of this attack though, The Host  director Bong Joon-Ho’s sci-fi epic, Snowpiercer, has been the mystery weapon in all of this though, as we’ve seen very little about it thus far. But now, thanks to some innovative marketing we can get to know the cast.

HanCinema managed to get their hands on these 10 “passports” for the cast, which they were able to scan in. They give an introduction to all the characters, giving us an idea of what they are all going to look like. Apparently Ed Harris is playing a really REALLY black guy, while Tilda Swinton looks like she wouldn’t be out of place in in either Woodstock  or Diagon Alley. Along with looks at the characters, we also get their names as well as where they will reside in the class-divided Snowpiercer, the massive globe circling train that stands as humanity’s last home during an icy apocalypse. Also if any of you guys possess both a magnifying glass and the ability to read Korean, maybe you can fill us in to whatever else it says about them.

Snowpiercer is expected to make it’s debut at Cannes in May, with an unspecified wide mid-year release planned by The Weinstein Company, which means that hopefully we’ll get to finally see a trailer sometime soon.

“Snowpiercer,” based on the French graphic novel “Le Transperceneige,” is set in a future where, after a failed experiment to stop global warming, an Ice Age kills off all life on the planet except for the inhabitants of the Snow Piercer, a train that travels around the globe and is powered by a sacred perpetual-motion engine. A class system evolves on the train but a revolution brews.
