At one point in our lives, we’ve all had…an internship. You know the kind that I’m talking about. It’s that period of your life where you spend anywhere from six months to a year being treated like a human magnet for hate and insults. And all for zero pay.

But must of us got through it, got a job and finally got paid. It’s a rite of passage for young adults, and something that you most likely never want to go through again. Unless you’re Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, in the upcoming Interns movie.

Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation’s most elite, tech-savvy geniuses to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.

Old dogs, new tricks. We’ve seen flicks like this before, but the Google setting is a new one. Vaughn and Wilson look to be on their usual form here, trading sarcasm and pursuing romance easily. The only problem that I’m seeing here so far, is that the jokes are just so blindingly obvious in the trailer, that it’s impossible to imagine Google employees being that dim-witted and socially inept. Still, looks like some decent fun overall.

The Internship is out in June, and also stars John Goodman, Josh Gad, Rose Byrne, Aasif Mandvi, Dylan O’Brien, and Max Minghella. Shawn Levy directs.
