I love movies. But I hate the actual location in which said films are being played. The floors are always stickier than the surface of a teenager’s room, the chairs smell like pee and its getting harder and harder these days to smuggle food in.
But one day, when I’m super-rich, I will have my own personal cinema. No riff raff allowed! And it shall be built by none other than IMAX!
IMAX will be entering that home market soon, with their own range of IMAX Private Theatres. But here’s the thing: It’s going to be ludicrously expensive. And I’m talking Powerball jackpot expensive here. According to a report from the DTV USA Forum, installing a home-based cinema with some IMAX branding will cost you anywhere between $1 million to $2 million. That’s between R9 million and R18 million in Mandela branded local currency.
So what do you get for all those Randelas? Customers will receive a “proprietary, state-of-the-art dual 4K projection system” in 2D and 3D”, and a “custom, patented surround-sound system”. In addition, all that cash will also get you a screen that emulates the look of IMAX by being a wall to ceiling setup. You know, in order to provide the “most immersive movie experience in the world.”
And if you have any issues with your cinema? IMAX has 24/7/365 support for it. But most likely only if you’re in the US of A. So there you have it. We can bring IMAX back to the country at long last. I only need another R18 999 998 to get this project off the ground!

As in a previous message on a different site…
This would be perfect for something that starts with a P and ends with ORN
