Zack Snyder talks MAN OF STEEL sequel ideas

Man of Steel hits cinemas today, as Superman returns to the big screen after a seven year absence. While I get ready for that flick by donning some red undies on the outside (They used to be white), Hollywood is already fast-tracking a sequel for their blockbuster, which is already closing in on the half billion dollar mark for revenue earned so far.

And director Zack Snyder has a couple of ideas for that next flick.

Speaking to Moviehole, Snyder says that he’ll soon be throwing some new idea at Warner Bros for the sequel. “I haven’t yet gotten to speak to the studio about all these awesome details (because I’ve been overseas on the junket). So my hope is, when I get home I can sit down with everyone and it’ll be like ‘Okay, so what are we going to do?.. we need to do something…”’

How big is something? According to Snyder, it’s going to be a challenge. Especially since the planet almost got cracked in two, with the first film:

We almost destroyed the world last time, now what!?

As for that rumoured work on a Justice League film, and Man of Steel possibly setting it up, Snyder said that while the potential was there, a lot of work would still be needed to make it a reality:

I really wanted to expand the DC Universe and I really wanted to make sure, in Superman’s world, that all that is a possibility.

The film has flown in faster than a speeding bullet this week. Have you seen it yet, and what did you think?

    Lex Luthor time next movie.
    no doubt.
less destruction, more of a batman approach. Thats the only way to move forward from nearly breaking the world in 2, move backwards to a more intellectual approach.
    duh.

Then Darkseid or galactus for the justice league, to nearly break the world again.
