When Zack Snyder revealed Batman vs Superman at Comic-Con, he did it by having actor Henry Lennix read a line from Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns, which of course immediately had fanboys doing unspeakable things to their keyboards and computer screens. But as Snyder was quick to point out, they weren’t adapting Miller’s classic story, just taking some inspiration from it. How much inspiration? Well, maybe a little bit more than we first thought, as the UK’s Independent is reporting that Miller is apparently set to meet up with Snyder and writer David S. Goyer for discussions pertaining to the Man of Steel sequel.
It looks like Len “Underworld” Wiseman is no longer directing The Mummy reboot for Universal. Reports indicate that a scheduling conflict is to blame for his departure, with a possible reason being his involvement in the upcoming Sleepy Hollow TV series, of which he directed the pilot and will also be helming the first two episodes. Another reason of course, is the fact that his wife Kate Beckinsale wasn’t cast in The Mummy, and as we know, he only makes movies where he can flaunt his hot wife to everybody.

So here’s what we officially know about Duncan Jones’s World of Warcraft movie: Duncan Jones is making a World of Warcraft movie. Unofficially though, we apparently know a whole hell of a lot more, as Bleeding Cool have done some snooping and pieced together all the various rumours and snippets of reports to put together quite a comprehensive picture of what the film will likely be about. For the Horde!

No, this is not a pic of a fan reenacting Jean Claude Van Damme’s ridiculous underwater training sequence from Kickboxer. Ex-WWE wrestler and Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista tweeted this behind the scenes pic from the film, showing him preparing for his role as Drax the Destroyer by filming something in a giant water tank. No word on exactly what the scene is about.
Along with the pic, Bautista tweeted this paraphrased dialogue between himself and director Jame Gunn.

Looks like The Great Gatsby actress Elizabeth Debicki is set to get her Man from U.N.C.L.E., as she is apparently circling the lead female villain role in the film. The Guy Ritchie directed reboot of the classic 1960’s spy show stars Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer, and will see Debicki play some kind of “femme fatale”. A role which the reasonably unknown actress apparently beat out other high profile stars like Rose Byrne and Charlize Theron for.
Hero and House of the Flying Daggers director Zhang Yimou is apparently eyeing the director’s chair for Quasimodo, Warner Bros’ take on Victor Hugo’s classic The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The film already has Josh Brolin cast in the title role of Quasimodo, the deformed man who falls in love with a gypsy girl and then battles thousands of soldiers on horseback by hopping, light as a feather, from one horse’s head to the next, artfully laying waste to all around him using his Chinese whipsword before confronting the gypsy girls father in snow covered cherry blossom orchard with his graceful kung fu. Well, that’s how I would spin it at least.
You would think that three minutes is nowhere near enough time to encapsulate somebody’s entire life story, from birth to death. But you are also lazy. The guys over at Movieclips Trailers don’t have that problem though, which is why they were able to spend Xenu knows long, putting together this rather amazing supercut of movies showing off the full lifecycle of an average person.
