The original 300 film has to be a guilty pleasure of mine. Because let’s face it, it’s the “KLAP IT BOET” of action films. Direct and to the point, it’s a movie that is purely a visual feast for the eyes. And I have no problem with that whatsoever. In fact, I’m kinda hoping that the sequel keeps that macho spirit intact.
Which it totally does in this new short trailer.
It’ll only be out in cinemas next year March, but right now there’s a Profiles gym that is filled with guys shouting Spartan slogans as they watch themselves flex in the mirrors, in anticipation for the movie. Based on Xerxes prequel novel from creator Frank Miller, 300: Rise of an empire, pits Greek general Themistokles up against the naval might of Xerxes and his armada.
Zack Snyder may not be directing, but the film is still soaking wet with his stylish fluids. No wait, that sounded bad. 300: Rise of an empire stars Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Lena Headey, Hans Matheson, David Wenham, with Noam Murro directing.
