Consider this trailer for I, FRANKENSTEIN to already be damned

If there’s one monster more enduring than even the most relentless horror movie slashers, it’s got to be Frankenstein’s monster. From Boris Karloff to Robert DeNiro, ol’s nuts and bolts has been lurching around for almost a century now in film and television.

But in the latest flick starring that icon, he’s going to be a lot more agile on his feet as he goes to war with weird-ass gargoyles and other supernatural creatures to decide the fate of all humanity.

200 years after his shocking creation, Dr. Frankenstein’s creature, Adam, still walks the earth. But when he finds himself in the middle of a war over the fate of humanity, Adam discovers he holds the key that could destroy humankind. From the co-writer of the hit supernatural saga, UNDERWORLD, comes the action thriller I, FRANKENSTEIN, written for the screen and directed by Stuart Beattie, screen story by Kevin Grevioux and Stuart Beattie, based on the Darkstorm Studios graphic novel “I, Frankenstein” created by Kevin Grevioux.

Man, those Underworld influences are hitting hard and fast, aren’t they? Still, as far as graphic novel adaptations go, the film is looking visually impressive. Although I do get the feeling that all the best stuff is being saved for the end of the film, which we just saw in that trailer. It’s a weird ass spin on the Frankenstein mythos, but it also looks like some decent popcorn fodder.

I, Frankenstein is out next year January, and stars Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto and Jai Courtney
