If you had to take a look at the top ten money-earners this year, you might be surprised at the fact that a film about yellow minions and evil geniuses battling one another is sitting right next to Iron Man and the Man of Steel. Despicable Me 2 did some amazeballs numbers this year, beating even the latest Pixar effort, Monsters University, to become the second highest grossing film of the year.
And expect those Dreamworks Animation bank accounts to swell even further when the movie arrives on home media.
