For a villain who happens to be more iconic than Coca Cola, Darth Vader sure hasn’t been seen much on television. And no, DVD viewings and playing as him in Soul Calibur do not count. But that could all change, as the big bad Sith Lord is about to choke his way onto the smaller screen.

All thanks to Mickey Mouse.

Determined to start making back some of that $4 billion that they spent on the Star Wars franchise, Disney is planning to bring Darth Vader to television sets in the near future. Over at the  European Brand Licensing Show last week, attendees were given a Lucasfilm brochure that detailed how the house of mouse would be using the Star Wars brand to full effect. While Star Wars Episode VII is still on track for a winter 2015 release, one other line on that pamphlet was tantalizing. Here’s a pic from JediNews:

Vader TV

Darth Vader TV specials? Well, as long as it isn’t anything like the legendarily crap Star Wars Holiday Special, I’m all for it. With Star Wars Rebels arriving next year, that’s already an easy slot to throw Vader into, as the hunt for the remaining Jedi who escaped Order 66 is worth a few specials on its own.

Horror. horror. Why would you even say that?

      Shudder.

*edit* Which Darth Vader? The voice or the body? Cause if memory serves, James Earl Jones 82 years old

Would it really make a difference? It would still be a form of Darth presenting a TV show lol
