Who doesn’t love Leonardo DiCaprio? He has a ridiculous amount of charm and charisma in any role he plays, and he knows how to sell a character. In The Wolf of Wall Street, his high energy persona is the perfect fit to play Jordan Belfort in the truth-is-stranger-than-fiction tale based on his memoirs.
The first trailer we saw that got Kervyn all excited set the manic tone for the movie, while the latest trailer below delves a bit more into the story, with DiCaprio providing a voice-over to lay out more of the plot details. As with any “based on a true story” movies, I’ll take the over-the-top scenarios with a pinch of salt, but DiCaprio sure knows how to sell them well. And see, that’s punny, because it’s a movie about stock-brockers and… yeah okay just watch the trailer.
Based on Jordan Belfort’s best-selling memoir “The Wolf of Wall Street,” which chronicles Belfort’s true story of his dramatic rise and fall on Wall Street, along with his hard-partying lifestyle and tumultuous personal life, which included drug and alcohol addiction.
The Wolf of Wall Street co-stars Jonah Hill and Matthew McConaughey, and opens on 25 December 2013 in the US.
