You’ve got to love The Expendables movies. They’re balls to the walls action and make no fuss of having such fancy concepts as an adherence to the laws of physics and proper acting. That, and they’re stuffed with more big-name actors than a badly-sung version of Save The World. Unless you’re greedy and lazy that is. The Expendables 3 is most likely the final film in the trilogy. And hot damn, does it have plenty of adrenaline to share.
In THE EXPENDABLES 3, Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team come face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables — but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.
Tight action, great actors having a blast in cheesy roles and Mel Gibson being a proper upper-f**ker of people once again. What’s not to love? The Expendables 3 stars (deep breath) Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson,Wesley Snipes,Antonio Banderas, Kelsey Grammar, Harrison Ford, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz, and Glen Powell.
Gasp.
