Men, boys and some fellas from Jersey with seasonal vibrations all hit the box office. And you’d have to think like a dude to be the winner over that weekend. It may not have been the busiest weekend at the North American box office, but that didn’t stop Think Like A Man Too from crashing the party and taking the top spot. The Kevin Hart sequel made a solid $30 million, but that’s down from the opening of the original film which clocked in at $33.6 million in 2012.

Taking fourth place, Clint Eastwood’s Jersey Boys opened to an underwhelming $13.5 million, which may be a low sum but it is an improvement over recent Eastwood films such as  J. Edgar ($11.2 million), Hereafter ($12 million) and Invictus ($8.6 million). Here’s how the rest of the Box Office did.

  • Think Like A Man Too – $30 Million
  • 22 Jump Street – $29 Million
  • How To Train Your Dragon 2 – $25.3 Million
  • Jersey Boys – $13.5 Million
  • Maleficent – $13 Million
  • Edge Of Tomorrow – $10.3 Million
  • The Fault In Our Stars – $8.6 Million
  • X-Men: Days of Future Past– $6.2 Million
  • Chef – $1.84 Million
  • Godzilla – $1.82 Million

Top ten departures this week include A Million Ways To Die In The West and Neighbors. Writer/Producer/Director/Star Seth MacFarlane’s newest film has been a mild flop compared to his 2012 debut film Ted, grossing only $71.1 million worldwide after four weeks. Neighbors on the other hand, has been an unexpected hit, taking the box office by storm with an international haul of $238 million during a seven week run.

Not bad for a movie with a budget of $18 million. Not bad at all.
