I think what truly horrifies me about the idea of the first The Purge film, is just how real it could actually be. One night to rape, murder and assault your way through society in order to trim the fat off of the population and suffer zero consequences, is an idea that is just one mad dictator away. And an idea that will be further explored in the sequel.
A young couple works to survive on the streets after their car breaks down right as the annual purge commences.
Tighter action, more suspense and the poop hitting the fan when rich people get involved with the annual Purge. This is going to be one night that the survivors are going to want to forget.
