Take an unofficial (and official) look at the beastly batmobile of BATMAN V SUPERMAN!

You know, as excited as I am to see a new iteration of Batman on the big screen, I’m even more excited to see the legendary Batmobile get it’s first big screen overhaul since 2005. Now make no mistake, I loved the Tumbler Batmobile from the Christopher Nolan directed Batman movies. And it was a realistic beast which rumbled through Gotham. But it lacked style. it lacked a certain character that previous Batmobiles had, from Tim Burton’s legendary dragster through to Joel Schumacher’s West Coast custom. But I think Batman v Superman may have found that mojo again, with its Batmobile.

I was going to lead this story off with the unofficial images, but dammit, Zack Snyder just tweeted the sexiest look of the new Batmobile so far. Enjoy it, wash your pants afterwards:

The film is currently shooting in Detroit, and Instagram user amacro13 and Batman-News got a new look at the vehicle. Check the photos out here, before we get Bat-lawyered and forced to remove them:

Following that leak, the DC Movie fanpage also tweeted the following:

This is the first proper look at the Batmobile since ben Affleck showed off his new costume. And I’m loving it. It has that fine balance between sports vehicle and military badass, and it looks like it can give hell to any criminal that is unlucky enough to cross the path of Batfleck. It is essentially, a character, not just a vehicle.

Batman V Superman – Dawn of Vroom Vroom is out in 2016. The film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman, Ben Affleck as BruceWayne/Batman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman,  Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Holly Hunter, with Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane returning.

  1. Holy pimped out ride, Batman! I gotta say, I really, really love this. It looks to have the rugged toughness of the Tumbler, but also looks nimble and fast. Also, GUNS ON THE FRONT!
