Tak3n (1)

They took his daughter in Taken. They took his ex-wife in Taken 2. Now, Liam Neeson faces his greatest challenge yet when the letter E is tooken in Tak3n.

His latest film, A Walk Among The Tombstones may not be faring too well at the box office right now, but it looks like Liam Neeson’s cinematic luck is about to change once again when the third Taken movie arrives. We’ve got new details, quotes and images from the threequel. Let’s start off with the word from Brian Mills  himself via USA Today, who describes his latest predicament as being on home soil for a change, much to the relief of what is left of the decimated male population of eastern Europe:

Tak3n (3)

I have to go on the run, I’ll put it that way, from the not-so-lawful types and the lawful authorities.  Bryan Mills served his country faithfully, but now even they are after him. They must not like me.

Along for the ride is Forest Whitaker, who might be hunting Mills this time around. Just don’t expect to see him in any fights with Mills:

Tak3n (2)

There’s no big fight between us, which I would have loved.  That will have to wait until Taken 4.

And don’t get excited for a fourth Taken film either, as Neeson reckons that the third time is indeed the final charm:

It’s a rollicking good story.  But I think this is the end.

So what’s the film all about? Well it looks like this time, Mills will be fighting to take back his freedom after he is framed for murder. That’s about the best I can manage with the Taken idea. Maybe a CIA agent also stole his lunch. This is complete guesswork, but men have been killed for less, so I’m sticking with that.

The film has just about wrapped up, with editing work underway. Tak3n will be taking the box office, next year January.

Sure, why not. The plot sounds half decent.
