The Woman in Black Angel of Death poster

Pro-tip: When a house is so creepy and haunted that even Harry Potter doesn’t want to stick around for a second ghostly go at it, then it’s probably not a good idea to truck in a bunch of war orphans and nurses who have a habit of checking under beds when they damn well know there will always be something under it (thanks for that new fear, Doctor Who!).

Clearly, the unlucky folk in The Woman In Black: Angel of Death never watched the original Daniel Radcliffe led film, which was quite a hit in 2012 when it became the highest-grossing British horror film ever, pulling in $127 million off a budget of just $15 million. Those numbers, in the “Accountant’s Tongue,” roughly translate to “You’re damn right we’re making a sequel even if our star or director won’t return” and so here we are, right back at Eel Marsh House again. And based on this trailer, all the ghoulish goings-on is picking up right where they left off.

England, 1941. With London in the midst of the blitz, two teachers evacuate a group of schoolchildren to the abandoned Eel Marsh House. Seeking safety from the bombs in the remote coastal location, the group instead find themselves facing an evil far more frightening when their arrival awakens the Woman in Black.

The Woman In Black: Angel of Death stars Phoebe Fox, Jeremy Irvine, Adrian Rawlins and Helen McCrory, and is directed by Jon Croker. It is scheduled for release on January 2, 2015.

Nice. The first one was seriously creepy and this looks like it may push that even further.
