Ever since they announced the (initial) official cast for Suicide Squad, the upcoming DC anti-hero superhero movie directed by David Ayer, a number of other actors and characters have been rumoured to be included; as well as far too many plot rumours to count. Well guess what? MORE RUMOURS! Geek Tyrant has a summary of the latest whispers garnered from anonymous sources and they include another long-time Batman villain, one of my favourite Firestorm villains and one of the trinity’s love interests. Rumours from here on out:

First up Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, best known for portraying Mr Eko on Lost and most recently on the other side of the comic book universe as Kurse in Thor: The Dark World, is set to play Batman villain Killer Croc. Born with reptilian traits that initially gave him scaled skin, he’s morphed over time to become more monstrous, and shares many traits with another character villain to be in the movie, King Shark. Two aquatic-themed villains… rumours about the Squad tracking down other super powered characters… something something Aquaman.

Plastique2

Secondly Karen Fukuhara will have a minor role as Plastique, who’s appeared as part of the Suicide Squad in the comics. She’s originally a Firestorm villain that used physical explosives to commit crimes but later developed explosive superpowers via genetic engineering. Recently the character appeared on The Flash as one of their cases of the week and it made me really happy until they shot and presumably (because comics) killed her. Oh, spoiler alert.

Steve_Trevor

And finally last, least interesting and requiring a giant grain of salt because it seems very odd, Scott Eastwood (son of Clint Eastwood and recently appearing in the David Ayer-directed Fury) has been tapped to play Wonder Woman’s love interest and frequent damsel-in-distress Steve Trevor in another minor role. That silence you hear? Yes.

At the rate they’re adding characters to the movie I won’t be surprised to see Johnny Depp cast as the obscure Silver Age villain, The Kitchen Sink.
