I was already pretty psyched for the new Mission: Impossible movie – subtitled Rogue Nation – after seeing that incredible first trailer and that jaw-dropping aerial stunt that sees Tom Cruise clinging onto a gigantic cargo plane for dear life thousands of feet in the air. Apparently though, Cruise and writer/director Chris McQuarrie thought that my hype levels were still too low so they decided to up the ante yet again!

Already shown a ridiculous stunt in the air? No problem, we’ll just hit a couple thousand gallons of water for even more insanity (I’m now half-expecting each subsequent trailer to focus on a different element of nature. I can’t wait till they get to “heart” and reveal that Cruise is Captain Planet).Oh, still not happy? How about some really amazing looking action sequences that feature car chases, bike chases, fist fights shootouts and of course Tom Cruise doing a “Tom Cruise run”.

And that’s not even taking into consideration all the amazing high-tech gizmos they’ve crammed into this two and half minute preview that makes the tech from the first film now look about as advanced as one of Nick’s high school science projects about magnets. Throw some Led Zeppelin vibes over all of that just for good measure, and my hype levels have now officially reached *cough* impossible levels.

Ethan and team take on their most impossible mission yet, eradicating the Syndicate – an International rogue organization as highly skilled as they are, committed to destroying the IMF.

Along with cracking trailer we also have 6 new character posters focusing on Cruise’s Ethan Hunt, Jeremy Renner as fellow agent William Brandt, Ving Rhames as franchise stalwart Luther Stickel, Alec Baldwin as the unnamed Head of the CIA, newcomer Rebecca Ferguson as femme fatale Ilse Faust, and our very first proper look (well, besides for the trailer above) at Sean Harris’ unnamed baddie and leader of the deadly Syndicate.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation also stars Simon Pegg and Simon McBurney. It is scheduled for release on July 31, 2015, which unfortunately is not NOW!
