Much like Matthew McConaughey’s “McConnaisance”, we need to get a snappy title for the resurgence of Michael Keaton. The “Keatoning”? The “Keaton Return”? Whatever the heck you want to call it, there’s no doubt now that it’s in full swing.

Fresh off the back of an Oscar nominated meta-performance in Birdman, Keaton now leads a stellar cast that includes Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schrieber and Stanley Tucci for acclaimed writer/director Tom McCarthy’s Spotlight, the true story of how a group of Boston investigative journalist uncovered a Massachusetts Catholic church child molestation scandal that would rock the United States and the world.

That’s some heavy material, but looking at this first trailer, McCarthy and his cast appear to be firing on all cylinders, which should make for a riveting drama. Check it out below.

SPOTLIGHT tells the riveting true story of the Boston Globe’s Spotlight investigation team who uncovered a scandal that would rock the city and shock the world. For years, whispers of the Boston Archdiocese’s cover up of sexual abuse within the Catholic church were largely ignored by the media, the police and the legal system. Against all odds, the Spotlight team fought to expose the truth.

Spotlight also stars Billy Crudup, John Slattery and Jamey Sheridan. It is scheduled for release on November 6, 2016.
