Got a great story in your head, but have a problem getting it made? If your tale of wonder is suitable for an animated feature or television show, you should enter the Triggerfish Story Lab challenge.
Triggerfish is a successful animation company based in Cape Town – you may know of their two hits, Zambezi and Khumba. It has realised that Africa offers many story opportunities, so in conjunction with Disney and the Department of Trade and Industry is looking for that talent. Here is a video laying out out quite nicely, but if you need the basics: the studio requires a story outline along with a filmaker’s statement. Those who qualify will attend a two week-long script workshop and out of that pool a final six candidates will be shortlisted.
