You know that whole “Save the cheerleader, save the world” thing? Yeah, that didn’t actually work out, especially the whole “cheerleader” part! The absence of Hayden Panettiere from the cast roll of upcoming event series revival Heroes Reborn was a huge clue, but now it’s official: Claire Bennett, the seemingly immortal cheerleader from the first series, has indeed bit the bullet.
Or kicked the bucket. Or stuck a fork in the socket. Or maybe even got just plain blown to smithereens in some kinda of massive terrorist attack. Point is that we have no idea what killed off the young hero and while this new teaser trailer for the show certainly teases her demise, it isn’t telling either. Check it out below.
Heroes Reborn sees the return of original cast members Jack Coleman, Masi Oka, Greg Grunberg, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Jimmy Jean-Louis and Cristine Rose, alongside newcomers Zachary Levi, Kiki Sukezane, Robbie Kay, Danika Yarosh, Judith Shekoni, Ryan Guzman, Henry Zebrowski, Gatlin Green, Dylan Bruce, Francesca Eastwood and Nazneen Contractor. The revival show’s 13-episode season is scheduled to premiere in the US tomorrow night.
