Emilia-Clarke-Sam-Claflin-Film-Me-Before-You-June-2015

Well this movie might be a bit late to save you from any upcoming Valentine’s day blushes when you take your Valentine out to see Dirty Grandpa and they aren’t impressed. But at least I can help you to prepare for some date nights later in the year and ensure they are a little less disastrous. This new trailer for Me Before You is perfect bait for the ultimate romantic movie and seems to have all the right stuff to ensure you are the man when her tears are all over your sleeves by the end of the movie. You can thank me later by way of EFT, free holidays or keys to your beach-side mansions.

Me Before You is based off a bestselling novel by Jojo Moyes and it was apparently a real tearjerker (and I should know, as my wife has read it). And this movie certainly looks set to follow the same path as the book in emotional weight. The film stars Emilia Clarke (Terminator Genisys) as Louisa Clark, a woman hired to help take care of Will Traynor, a quadriplegic young man played by Sam Claflin (The Hunger Games). The romance unfolds as the two fall in love and Louisa tries her hardest to draw Will out of his deep depression.

The trailer probably gives away the entire plot line of the movie, but I guess a lot of women already know the story line anyway and this at least prepares you in advance to hide those tears and ensure you whip out the tissues at the appropriate time.

Me-Before-You

Moyes wrote the screenplay for the movie herself and the film is directed by Thea Sharrock who has done very few big productions and mostly has a background in theatre. The film also stars Brendan Coyle, Matthew Lewis, Samantha Spiro, Vanessa Kirby and Ben Lloyd-Hughes in supporting roles.

Me Before You is out in theatres on June 3rd of this year and is being developed by Warner Bros Pictures. So, plan those dates now – don’t say we didn’t try and help you out with your love life at least this once.
