OK so I have a confession to make, I might be Seth Rogen’s biggest fan, the man is funny people! So when it comes to projects involving the funny man I am automatically interested. Then to my total surprise I find out about this little gem, an animated movie, about food (my other favourite thing), written by and starring Rogen himself – And it R-Rated! This year really is the year that keeps on giving!

Sausage Party, as the movie has been titled, is a project eight years in the making. The movie is directed by Greg Tiernan (Thomas & Friends) and Conrad Vernon (Shrek 2, Monsters vs. Aliens) and written by Evan Goldberg, Seth Rogen, Kyle Hunter, and Ariel Shaffir – and it looks Hilarious! It’s set in a world where food live for one thing – to be chosen and taken home by humans, who they see as Gods, but of course they have no idea what their true purpose is, until they inevitably find out with raucous and laugh out loud fashion.

Here is the official trailer for Sausage Party:

How great was that trailer?! This is one animation that will not soon be forgotten. Rounding off the voice talent for the movie is Kristen Wiig, James Franco, Salma Hayek, Paul Rudd, Jonah Hill, Edward Norton, and Michael Cera.

Sausage Party is scheduled for release on 12 August 2016.

The 3D animators spent way too much time making that hot dog roll look like a vagina, they aren’t even trying to be subtle about it O_o

Looks pretty epic…almost like they had a bunch of R-Rated films / movies packed away somewhere until Deadpool broke the mold…
