By the flames of the Faltine! When Marvel kicked off their cinematic universe back in 2008, it was with a comic book character who wasn’t exactly as iconic as say Superman or Spider-Man. In the big scheme of things, Iron Man was a character that most audiences were unfamiliar with. These days? Everybody knows who the invincible Iron Man is.

And that’s the kind of magic that has made other obscure Marvel properties stand out. But when it comes to magic, there’s only one undisputed master of the mystic arts, one sorcerer supreme. And his name is Doctor Strange. Here’s the first trailer for his upcoming flick. Hey, it’s a kinda magic:

Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Earth’s mightiest mystic, with Chiwetel Ejiofor,Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen, and Tilda Swinton joining in on the arcane fun. Scott “Sinister” Derrickson directs.

  1. I’m absolutely loving how it doesn’t actually feel like a typical superhero movie in that trailer!

Must say that is one of the reasons it intrigues me. Of all the Marvel characters I know the least of Doctor Strange, but that trailer would make me go and watch it.
