I’ll be honest, I don’t really remember much about the first Percy Jackson film, which is both a good and a bad thing. Good because it means it did nothing to have me memorably spewing my popcorn in disgust down the back of the unfortunate heavy set man sitting in front of me in the cinema, and bad because it means it did nothing to make me pay attention to it more than the unfortunately heavy set man sitting in front of me in the cinema.
Hopefully things will go better the second time around (for the movie I mean, not for who gets to sit in front of me in the cinema), and they’ve already got off to a better start by adding Nathan Fillion.
Based on the publishing phenomenon, “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” continues the young demigod’s epic journey to fulfill his destiny. To save their world, Percy and his friends must find the fabled and magical Golden Fleece. Embarking on a treacherous odyssey into the uncharted waters of the Sea of Monsters (known to humans as the Bermuda Triangle), they battle terrifying creatures, an army of zombies, and the ultimate Evil.
I’m pretty sure that you won’t find any drunk college girls riding that mechanical bull in a bar any time soon. Also, the Weasley’s called, they want their magic car back.
Along with the trailer we also have a couple of new pics showing off star Logan Lerman and some more Fillion.
Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters will be adventuring into cinemas on August 16, 2013.

Neat, I enjoyed Lightning Thief, so a sequel is welcome. But I assume it’s an all-new cast?
