One show down, several more to go. While Daredevil is getting ready for a second season on Netflix, it’s time for a different kind of hero to take the stage. And by that, I mean a former hero who had one pitifully short career as a public cape and decided to hang it all up and become a detective instead.
Starring Krysten Ritter as a former superhero who now works as a detective who happens to regularly get pulled into NYPD, Jessica Jones is also apparently not a fan of getting up at the crack of noon or that f***ing annoying Loving You Is Easy song:
After a tragic ending to her short-lived Super Hero stint, Jessica Jones is rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases in New York City.
While Daredevil had a more sombre tone, that’s not an approach which I think could work for Jessica Jones. Hopefully, we’ll see more of what kind of a show Jessica Jones will be when a full trailer arrives that features more of the self-destructive habits of a former superhero.
Jessica Jones arrives November 20 on Netflix, and also stars Mike Colter, David Tennant, Rachael Taylor, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
