I don’t know about you guys, but if there’s one thing about family vacations that I just can’t stand it’s when you leave your folks on a yacht on the Spanish coastline to just quickly pop into town for some snacks, only to come back and find them missing and the place ransacked, and then to find out that your dad (who, by the way, looks just like that guy from Die Hard) is actually a covert CIA agent who was doing some shady dealings with a woman with a power suit and an arrogant sneer, who now has sent armed thugs to kill you for the briefcase your secret spy dad may have left with you, resulting in you having to engage in wild shootouts and car chases and also jumping off of really high buildings, possibly to your death.
What? That never happens to you? Guess it’s just me and Henry Cavill then.
The Cold Light of Day has no local release date yet but opens in the US on 6 April 2012, and stars the new Superman, Henry Cavill as well as Bruce Willis and Sigourney Weaver. It is also directed by Mabrouk El Mechri who made the incredible JCVD, so despite that we’ve seen this storyline and these action sequences in countless other espionage films of the last few years, this is still remaining on my radar.

When the wife said “I can’t say how happy I am that we’re all sitting around a table again”, I had to snort with laughter.
Fool woman! You’re just asking for trouble
